The original Half Life and the original Wolfenstein...I logged so many hours on that as a kid I think it imprinted swastikas into my dreams.

Doom/Doom2 (Great games for their time.. and hundreds or thousands of freely downloadable levels from the local BBS systems.. yeah.. for me it feels like it signaled the birth of mainstream modding.)

Team Fortress for Quake. (Quake itself wasnt overly impressive, but it had tons of potential and people really took advantage of that!)

Hell, lets go for 3 and add System Shock 2 in there, one of the most atmospheric and creepy games i had ever played. Granted i didnt play it till the mid 2000's and used a model and skin retexture pack, but even then its graphics were considered fairly poor, it was still creepy, scary, and had a great story and fun gameplay mechanics.

TF2
Half Life
and a little sim I've been playing for the last 13 years, off and on... Warbirds (warning - annoying sound autoplays on the link...the current owners are marketing morons)

BB

America's Army 1.X-2.X (I feel it is necessary to exclude 3)
Red Orchestra / Darkest Hour

F.E.A.R. - only game that ever made me feel sick.
Doom - one of the first (PC) games I played.

Top two shooters of all time.

1. Redneck Rampage - Was one of my first fps games when I got my own pc back in the 90's. Just a good humorous game.

2. Half life - not much to say, one of the first story-based fps in taht style, loved it.

Only two? No way I can only put two in! At LEAST three, CS:S, Quake III/Live and Team Fortress 2. :) Shouts go out to Bad Company 2 and UT2K4 as well!
