I would like to see graphics that are rendered like a movie...Toy Story, WallE, and others. Just insane graphics that look amazing!!!

And I would like a new freebie to boot :)

For me it's about price, give me the most "bang for my buck". Sub $350 price for sure.

ONCE

3+ monitor output, on one video card, is what i want to see on more video cards.
The extra desktop space is very usefull for day to day work.

What I want to see in new video cards.

Better support for remote gaming. I want to game from the couch, but don't want a tower there. Why cant I run an app and connect to my gaming rig over the LAN and actually have a smooth lag-free experience?

Better Support for multi-monitor gaming. It's ultimately up to the dev's and directX, but there must be something you can do to promote more games to move the map to fullscreen on a secondary monitor, freeing the main screen for pure visual candy! Not just spanning the main screen across 3 screens.

I think the fastest video card should have a picture of me on the front of the casing.

What about a button to make smoke blow out the fan with the press of a button like a fog machine?

On a more serious note, at least three year warranties which are not voided by opening the case. Now, if you manage to crack a chip that obviously will not be covered.

Retail water cooled options. Why shouldn't we be able to but a card with the water block pre-installed. :)

So many diapers to buy, no way to afford a new card. I still game when I can, but wouldn't mind being able to bump up my resolution when I can get a little gaming (me) time!

My main consideration is always bang for the buck (cost vs. performance). Aside from that, I do look at power consumption, noise, and heat.

a few more cheap cards with lots of ram, like the Palit GTX 460 2GB. They make a nice, entry level alternative to the quadro/tesla series

I'm just looking forward to multi-monitor gaming getting more affordable.

Video card manufacturers should stop using cheap coolers that cool core and memory with the same cooler. GPU cores and memory should not be in the same piece of metal. GPU cores stay hot while memory doesn't get anywhere near GPU core temps. So yeah memory stays hotter than what it should be without any cooling when sharing the same heatsink with the GPU core.

absolutely, completely no noise that means passive heatsink and lower power usage for HTCP

Low noise cards are premium, that can be gotten by more efficient use of clock speeds so they don't run so hot in the first place.

I'd like to see a graphics solution that has a high-grade encoding system. So far, the GPU-based encoders put out some horrible quality so we're still essentially stuck on slower CPU-based encoders to get things done. It would be nice to get things done faster.

I like to see more competition, because that's, really what's best for us consumers.

I would like the video card to make me breakfast, or at least coffee. That should be a reasonable request of a $600 electronic device.

I'd like to see more stylish coolers, like what you get from the aftermarket folks.

I'd like to see options for water blocks pre-installed that aren't marked up in price to holy hell. Probably never happen, but I can dream.

The usual, lower heat, less power usage and reasonable prices. Venting the heat outside of the case would be awesome.... also... Monkeys.

Finding a card that has an upgraded cooling solution at competitive prices (maybe $10 more than other cards using stock coolers) is always nice. I'm thinking back to the days of the Arctic Cooler and 9700 Pro days. Some cards offered that cooler stock, saving the extra cost and trouble of upgrading my own cooler.

I'd like to see some faster/sexier mobile video chipsets. I can play SWGemu on my netbook with 20fps on high, but I can't even open CSS.

I would love to see some better video processing chips included for video based content, something along the lines of ABT 2025 or HQV based, similar to what is found in consumer video products.
