Post your "rate my cables" here

I also have that issue with the front panel audio cable. the add on card sits in the lowest slot and I have to route it around :(

here are some pics... i think its pretty clean considering the size of the case and what hardware i have stuffed inside.

AMAZING guys, nice work. Love the black.

Just a computer of some spare stuff. A 3-pin fan on the rear and another stick of RAM was added in since taking the picture.

'Tis in a Sonata II. Got lazy at the top.

Seriously, very fine cable management and clean up of that case. I cheated, I went with a Corsair 800D that lets me hide just about everything - I needed the room though to fit all the other goodies I had. Yours is so clean and seems bare but you know its not. Really fine job man, really nice and clean.

Holy mamma, that thing looks flippin' nice! The only thing that kinda bother me was the un-even ant kink coil thing, straighten it out a bit and you got more win!

You take that thing to a LAN a lot?

Today i received a new Zotac GTS250 (i ordered it because my HD5870 is @ RMA and they said it will take ~25 days to process the RMA). Durring the time i was waiting for the card i did a bit of cable management, and this is the result :

Few remarks :
1) the 2 fans bellow the graphics card are here because i will use MK-13 for my HD5870 and i had these installed there already because of the cable management - and they don't hurt anything even if they are here without the MK-13 :)
2) the disconnected with the internal USB header visible at the back of the case (at PSU) is here because i already ordered the NZXT IU01, which is a internal USB hub with internal USB headers - and i need that because my board has only 2 USB headers but i need 3 (4 front USB ports + T-Balancer bigNG).

I believe they either screw in to the holes for the motherboard standoffs or thread on to the standoffs themselves from the back. Depends how thick the motherboard tray is -- more likely the former.

Yeah he likely just did it himself, using unused mobo screwholes and M3 or 6-32 socket-head screws.

This is the second computer I have ever built. My first being a AMD sempron 2800 LOL. I was about 10 years old at the time so my slightly older brother took over the build mostly. I built this one all from forum buying. Spent about $750 on everything including my 24" dell monitor.
The specs are as follows:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.6GHz with GeminII heatsink
Evga 790i Ultra tri SLI
6GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz
BFG GTX 280 OC
1TB WD HHD
2x74GB VelociRaptor(Not shown, waiting on RMA)
OCZ 600W PSU
CM Storm Scout case
24" Dell monitor

Here is before I attempted to make it look neat inside. What a mess huh

Here is after I attempted to manage them cables.
On a side note, I just ordered some cable sleeves to make it look a little better, we'll see how that goes, I have never sleeve cables before but I think I can manage. I'll post pics of my comp when I get the sleeves done. Thanks for looking

where do you get those clamps for the cables in the back? and are they riveted into the tray or screwed in?

i got my clamps at lowes. i think i have a combination of 3/8 and 1/4 clamps. i had to get the screws from home depot because lowes didn't have UNC 6-32 screws of the allen socket (hex if you get technical) kind. that is correct, i just screwed them to the mobo standoff pre-drilled screw holes...as they are the same thread (6-32) i could drill my own holes but as i said before, work in progress :) it would be much easier to get the cables where i want them to go but as of now i'm pretty happy where they run for now ^_^

well, here are a few pics of my new lian li case. i didn't get finished transferring everything until late in the evening that night and have yet to 'tidy up'. i need to get a new sata power cable from Performance PC's so the cable comes from under the drives instead of over and a new windowed side panel with a rectangular window. i think that would be better since it would allow only the mobo area to be seen and not the hdd/optical drive cages.

Good gracious thats a clean setup. What cpu cooler is that by cooler master? I dont think I have seen it before.

Thats pretty clean there , I cant even see the mobo power , Must be hidden under the cooler

That is extremely clean for a "quickie build" lol. MUCH cleaner than the one I labored hours over.... haha.

I put this together in one afternoon. i7 930, EVGA x58LE, HD5850, 2x 1tb WD in raid 0, 6gb corsair 1600 ddr3 (added after pic was taken), 750w corsair tx.

Its all crammed in a cooler master wave master. It's a decent fit, and temps are decent, even with only 2 fans in and 2 fans out, 80mm. It's loud, but the temps matter more. I cleaned up the front panel wires after the pic was taken. Built for a friend, who didn't want to spring for an aftermarket cpu cooler. *shakes head

I refuse to build friends a system without also doing an aftermarket cooler. I stopped using the stock coolers because after 3 months they all decided they wanted to overclock the machines I built for them. It's just simpler this way :p

That's like one of the cheapest things of a build. lol. what was he thinking?

Could be worse.... I once built a desktop computer with a $350 CPU, stock HSF, $350 motherboard, $375 worth of RAM, a $250 disk drive, a $300 power supply.... and a $30 video card.

It was just making me money, I didn't need to OC or play games :D

The FD 80mm fan is a bandaid for the NB, which gets a tad too hot on an unmodified maximus formula SE (read, i didnt reseat the NB cooler before installing it the first time, so heat transfer is shitty), i guess 8GB ram and two graphics cards aint helping either... + a mild overclock

Just a quick question... Where does everyone get their cable sleeves from? I'm drowning in places with heatshrink tubing - but finding sleeves is hit or miss - mostly miss.

MDPC-x.com FTW! If you just need black, murderMod.com sells the same stuff.
