Seriously, I'd be lookin' for a room at the closest Motel 8.....

BTW, I play COD4 without greanades and Helis.... you just gotta find the right server.

I don't have it, but I am really disappointed about Damnation...... Damned, I wanted that one to be good.

There's a lot more they need to do than that.

Anyway, my vote is for L4D. It's not even shit, it's like a shit that someone smeared around before throwing 90% of the content away and leaving a thin shit streak behind.

COD4 needs these removed:
spam airstrikes
shitty spawn system needs fixed. Tired of enemies spawning behind me
martyrdom
last stand
grenade x3
limit 203 and RPG some.
 
How about Alone in the Dark for worst 360 release ever.

I wrote to the creators (Atari I think) it was so bad.

Why do people keep electing this game?
I havent beaten the game, but I have loved the story telling so far and the way that things make you jump. Yeah it plays slow on my system, but that doesnt make it a bad game... Everyone should at least give a reason befere electing a good game.

If I had to elect a game, and I am not, it would be just about every console port to pc. I am not sure how most console games are(I dont own any "next gen" systems), but I have played quite a few games that were ported form consoles and they all play the same. Assassin creed (2008 good example) the game introduces good concepts you do at the start, but it has you do the same thing over and over and over and over again, it is so repetitive that I want to throw it in the trash, yet I cant because it was a digital purchase. Far cry 2 is the same thing, they introduce some interesting concepts for you to do and then make you do them for the next 15 hours. Nothing changes and you know how the game works within 1 hour for the rest of the game. In fact console games are so bad I don't understand how people play them, they are boring, dull and most of all exteremly repetitive, on top of that they cost $60 and yet most get good reviews. I have never played more repetitive games than I have this generation.

dow2 because the games just dumb.. it has nothing to do with DoW or any of the other expansions for that version.. no structure building = no RTS..

right there with DoW2 is Ghostbusters.. found that game to be boring and horrible looking without AA and tons of glitches..

im sure ill think of others.. but the way the games are going this year i dont really have any high hopes of a semi decent game coming out before the end of the year..
 
I'd have to say Assassins Creed was definitely my letdown of the year. Sure there were worse games I played, but that one turned out to be the hot chick at the bar that grew a 5 o'clock shadow as soon as the sun came out.

Ass Creed was a big disappointment to me. The game lacked depth and was very, very repetitive.

You forgot ridiculously super-accuracy and all but two-three of the maps being complete shit.
 
The Godfather game was pretty well crap, I had some hopes for it, (a hold over until Mafia2 hits...) alas it's been uninstalled and remanded to the bin of shame.
 
Arma 2. I have never played a game so unfinished or so unpolished. I will until they patch it at least 10 more times before i even attempt it again.

@ people who arent happy with DOW 2...

Try playing again after the next patch is released. I played the open beta for the next patch and it feels very similar to the old DOW game in terms of unit roles. I have to say its way more balanced and fun than it has ever been before.

I'm playing GB on my PC at 1080P. Looks pretty good to me. Now the gameplay is a bit of a different matter, but it doesn't suck and I'm not really into shooters. I'm finding it fun. Then again I liked Prince of Persia, but I still cant get over Nolan North's voice. He's Nathatn Drake Dammit!

I am not a CS player. Il2 Sturmovik is a simulator I play. And unlike Arma 2 it is not a piece of shit.

Seriously what where people expecting when they bought left 4 dead? It's not a single player game the campaign is pretty much training for versus.

That being said I still play the game about twice a week and its great, you just have to have friends to play it with or else you are stuck with online people; which can end up being some dude who just pounded a 12 pack and is running the wrong way.
 
Played about 4 levels of FEAR 2 and now I have no intention of ever playing it again. The AI seems to be dumber than the first game, the color palette went from dark and gloomy to a lot of glowing blues and greens. Too much action going on so that "quiet" creepiness has disappeared. Plus the soldiers aren't as "robotic" and are too human-like, they're not as scary as the first game. And why can you lean to see what's ahead of you? God damn PC Port.

I'm bitter enough for it to count in my mind.

Also, they need to fix it so that people can't shoot you with only an elbow/the top of their helmet showing in CoD4; another few to add to your list.

L4D versus (No Mercy of course) is some of the funnest multiplayer I have ever had. When people ask me about the game, I always say "If you have 2-3 other people to play it with it's amazing, otherwise forget about it."

Really??? At first I wasn't too sure about it, but the more I played it the more I wanted to play it. I really loved exploring, while following the storyline. Def not a fail in my books at all. Ran great on my system too.

Most of the games I want to play this year are still in the making. I will say that Alan Wake not coming to PC is my pick for now (if that's possible).

I guess you can group them in the same way. Both make you feel pretty bad ass, and both a a hybrid of action and 3D platforming if you will, with both using the open sandbox concept, but inFamous was more story driven, and quest then say prototype where all yo needed to do was kill or survive. But both have different concepts on the way they make the players feel. IMHO inFamous had better more interesting game play, because I 100% the game in 3 days where as prototype i didnt even bother finishing .
 
I don't know if anybody else had a "pleasure" to play Terminator Salvation. I got that abortion of a game bundled with my card, and it has to be the worst game ever made... If you get it for free, don't even bother downloading it :D

Yeah, that was bad, and the lack of mouse button support was very poor. No leaning. Film grain pissed me off too. Dreadful game should have stayed on the consoles where it belongs. F.E.A.R 1 was a PC classic, F.E.A.R 2 was an insult.
 
Just tried FUEL (ATV / Off Road racing game). Personal opinion, it's total crap. Codemasters made DIRT great fun, GRID has it's moments, but FUEL in my eyes needs to die now and go straight to the $9.95 bin.
ARMA II was like pulling teeth. Fuel and Arma II belong together.
