why do ppl do that all those computers is it really necasary?

All those computers?

I only see 5. Heck... when I'm bored I build/rebuild computers, surf the 'net, watch a movie, play TF2, and design web pages... All at the same time!

That is only 5 right there, though I could probably expand my abilities and rock 7 computers. :D

Most people? No, not necessary. Some? Totally necessary. Some may be rendering video while editing huge photos while batch processing whatever else while also running servers for their own site(s) and sites of clients, etc.

For two friends of mine, it's necessary and they have 4-8 machines each that are constantly in use.

So some people really don't need a ton, but I can easily see why one might have a laptop, and a separate work and gaming PC. It does sometimes concern me that people are unnecessarily using power and buying more crap that will likely end up in a landfill, but it is safe to say that few people are doing this for the sake of it.

Oh, and then there are distributed computing projects like Folding@Home or SETI.

This is a temporary setup, I'm home for the summer and don't have a real desk or a very good location.

After taking these pics, I added another twist tie to the cables coming out from the sub and now they look like one solid cable and not hanging from the bottom like in these pics.

Sick simple setup mate.
Would love to buy the apple K & M just for windows :)

Yup, monitor is a 2208wfp. The desk is made by Init that you can get from Best Buy. The Mac keyboard is great, the mouse is actually a Rocketfish bluetooth mouse though.

Riveninside, look at all those orbs - collections of energy in your room, you must have a lot of electrical items in there, or an area where there's a lot of electrical current.

Anyhow, i'm not laughing because i'm sure being over 6 feet tall isn't easy! :D

Grats to a fellow Corda HeadFive owner! I've got #171. I absolutely love it! Works nice paired with a Fubar II USB DAC and my Sennheiser HD 650s.

Here's an updated pic of my setup showing my attempt at ambient lighting behind my monitor (doesn't show up too well since this image was taken with a flash but I didn't have too much success getting a good pic without).
