Yeap...i did. Sounds like it will fit. Not sure how I will run three monitors though. I have a 4870x2.....might be cheaper to get the Matrox triple head box for $300 becuase another 4870x2 is like $400+

there are cheaper solutions. such as usb video cards. they support a max of 1600x1200 which is perfect for those 20 inch screens. I know evga has such a solution

An update:

I've finally found a 3007WFP-HC for a relatively good price. Combined with the two 2007FP's I already had and the removal of the Samsung it gives this result:

I have to say that playing BF2 at 2048x1536 is really fun.

But I wonder why it's laggy when I move something on the border between the 3007WFP and the right 2007FP. It doesn't do that on the other side of the 3007WFP.

The 3007WFP-HC is connected to a EVGA GTX260 Core 216 SC and the two 2007FP's are connected to a EVGA 7900GTX

I really didn't suspect the 30" was THAT big. Before I had 3x 20", but this 30"..., the 2007FP's look very small in comparison.

But I still hate the facts it's a widescreen. It just isn't the right aspect ratio. I would have preferred a 4:3 ratio.

Its because of the 7900GTX and that your motherboard is probably running it at 8x where the other two monitors are at x16.

Its better to have two equal cards or at least two cards from the same family. I've had the lag before when I used an 8800 GTS and a 8400 GT, then I just traded up to newer equal cards.

You could get a HD4850 or so for the two 20" monitors. Problem solved.

I have both 20" monitors on the 7900GTX. I guessed it would stress the GTX260 less, so that one could concentrate more on game performance. The 7900GTX is on x16. I just checked and the driver says x16. Alse keep in mind that I have a X38 board, not the P crap. (I got it at a time P45 wasn't there yet and X48=X38, so what the heck; X38).

The dual-driver issue could probably the couse. I don't know.

I'm thinking of changing the 7900GTX for the newer passive cooled 55nm 9600GT, but I doubt that will improve the situation. Anyway, it doens' really matter because the moving stuff is almost always on the center monitor anyway.

I think I'll step-up the GTX260 to a GTX285 (12 days left with EVGA step-up). I'm also thinking of getting an E8400. The problem is now that sometimes my PC won't start. I guess it's the power supply. Switching the 7900GTX to a 9600GT, GTX260 SC to GTX285 and E6600 (@3.0) to E8400 (@3.6) will all give a little energysaving so hopefully that will save me from buying a new PSU. And also, I can't find a new PSU with angled S-ATA power connectors. The E8400 upgrade would also prevent me from going i7 :p. An i7 upgrade would be a lot more expensive and would bring no gain for me as a single-GPU gamer.

But then I also 'need' a new mouse with more DPI because I can now only aim on 1 out of 10 pixels in BF2 and a new keyboard, because the left shift is slowly giving up.

@ Polive
Did you turn down the contrast (white level) also?

Uhh, not really.. contrast is at default now, 70.. I'm sort of color blind so monitor settings aren't really a high priority for me, hehe..

@ corry29
hey beuh_dave,
how is ur 3 monitors run by?
is 1 monitor by SLI and the other 2 on another card?

No SLI for me, I got cheap video cards cuz I mostly play xbox 360. I have a 1 x GT9500 and 2 x 6200GT. I thought about getting the 4850x2 (for the 4 DVI's), but I decided to pass and save a few bucks...

Have you already found the Delete button on that keyboard?

This probably comes from somebody who never used this keyboard!
It's fantastic and better than any other keyboards I used and I used many mostly from Logitech

There are few program tricks that lets you assign any keys to any keys so no problem with Delete "Backspace" button. :p

i have a wired apple keyboard of that version and I use one at work and at home; it is addictive.

That's what I hear limxdul.
Well it's either the apple keyboard or the logitech illuminated once I get rid of this G15, going for a more professional look with my new Lian Li, desk and redesigned room.

How do you like it? I've been looking at that for a couple of months, and I'm pretty close to buying one....

So far so good, no dead pixels, no back light bleed, and it's built like a tank. But then again I'm no monitor connaisseur. I have a hard time telling a TN from any other panel type.

Why would I even try it?

-It looks ugly
-F buttons not the proper size, also not proper positioned
-No numpad
-No dedicated volume buttons
-No Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, Printscreen, Pause/Break
-Undersized arrow keys

Looks like I can get an 4870 1GB card that will work in Crossfire with my 4870x2 2GB card for $150 on sale. Those USB things are $60 each so this isn;t that much more.

Now I can run 3 monitors and have crossfire at the same time right?

That's why I bought one of the old Logitech DiNovo Bluetooth "Media Desktop" Keyboards!

It's been my favorite keyboard for years. I paired mine with a Logitech G7 Wireless mouse for by far, the best keyboard / mouse experience I've ever had.

I'll post some pictures later today ... I got a new LCD TV too :D
