Call microcenter and give them the order number (00362828)

Then ask what the price was charged for this order.

THEN TELL ME IT IS FAKE!!!! HA

slick edit chief....

I hardly care enough to call with an order number, I just like seeing you get fired up!

I think the best part about it is his greed being so obvious...if he actually paid $1 thats lame as hell to be charging so much since hes not even going to use it. Reminds me of the ps3 losers on ebay.

It is not about what he paid for it but what it is worth.
Make him a reasonable offer if you care to have it.

Wow, this type of reasoning astounds me. It doesn't matter what he paid for it. The processor's current retail price is close to $1000.00. $750.00 for a $1000.00 processor is a good deal. It has nothing to do with greed. Is there some kind of percentage price over the original purchase price that is somehow become the marker for what is ethical and what is not? I didn't think so. The fact is when you purchase an item, you can sell it for whatever you want to sell it for. It is up to potential buyers to determine if the price is right. The seller cutting $250 off the price of the CPU, not ripping people off by inflating it over retail cost.

If you are offended by the markup of the processor from the original poster, don't buy his item. Additionally, you better quit buying nearly everything else you've ever purchased because the markup from manufacturing to distributor, to retail/online is astronomical in some cases.

Take the $30-50 DVI cable that goes from an LCD to a PC probably costs around $3 by the time it gets to the distributor and a place like Comp USA probably gets it for $12-20 and sells it to you for $30-60. So from manufacturing, to distribution to retail you're probably paying an 80% markup. So what, you'll boycot the companies that sell these cables for trying to make a profit?

You obviously aren't listening to what I said. I'm referring to him paying $1 and charging $750+, yes thats greed. It has absolutely nothing to do with what retailers do/charge etc., this isnt retail.

Oh and if I dont like it I dont buy it, um thats a big obvious and just a bait statement.

No thanks, its not worth what hes asking considering what he paid for it.
Are you a commie or something? Doesn't our whole economy kind of revolve around selling things for more than you paid? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it does.

Hey congrats man, can't believe they would honor a price mistake like that....but hey looks like you lucked out.

Sell that baby! :D

No one seems to be listening to me, im referring to the drastic profit margin, not the fact that he wants to make money.

No I think we hear you plenty clear. We just don't disagree with what he's doing. You do,. So, let's all just agree we disagree.

Communist. Seriously, if you had the processor and did not intend to use it, how much would you sell it for? Would you mark it up 100% and sell it for $2?

Get real buddy.

And we care for your opinion? No, now just stop trolling.

I dont remember saying you would or should care about mine, whos trolling? Might wanna look at your own comment and answer that.

So if I win a Car in the lottery and don't want to use it I should just give it away to someone else by your reasoning? Come on...

The fact of the matter is that he got lucky and now he is offering someone the chance to be almost as lucky by selling this thing 25% UNDER market value. If you wanted to you could buy it and throw it on ebay and probably sell it for something close to marketvalue at a pretty profit, ofcause then you'd be greedy... ;)

But but but, he could sell it for $2 and make 100% profit!!!

Wonder how the Underpants Gnomes would handle this one:

"Step 1 - Buy CPU. Step 2 - Brag about it. Step 3 - Profit!!!"

:D

exactly. thanks for the backup. lol

i have no use for the processor (since i have a E6600) and got lucky (obviously) so I decided to sell it.

i just sold it for $600 shipped. brand new. thats is an excellent price either way

Hell I'd do that same exact thing. :D Lucky man, cool of the company to honor that. Not exactly sure if it was smart of them or not, but cool.

That's quite a negative way to look at it, don'tcha think? Look at the glass half-full; he is selling a $1000 CPU for $600 shipped. That's a helluva deal for someone looking at a good gaming system on a medium-large budget. He's doing the whole community a favor by selling at such a heavy discount, so stop bashing the guy.
