thats because asus makes apple laptops, hence the similarities, also one of the main reason I went for this asus. the hinge design is also similar.
 
Wow that Asus is purrdy...

Here's my Dell E1405... not the beast these 17" ones are... but a little nicer to carry across the 350 acres of the University of Texas...

I just picked up an Acer Aspire 1642Z at Staples the other day for $699, quite a steal. It has a Pentium M 740, 1gb of DDR2, 100gig HD, Dual Layer DVD Drive and a 15.4" widescreen display. Here is one sitting on my desk, you can see my Acer LCD sitting behind it. I'll snap a few more later, my sister needed the camera.

a big fan of acer are we? :p at 699 that is MORE than a steal, nice specs too.

Hehe, Yeah they make good stuff. I have to admit though, I was actually looking for a Core Duo, but this was too good of a deal to pass up. Also helps that they had no Core Duo's in stock :)
 
NEW LAPTOP purchased yesterday at office depot for 800 with 200 rebate
specs:



i tested it out for gaming (cs) hehe :D fps was a decent 60fps but it would jump up to 100 at times its okay the 512mb of ram is pretty slow i need an upgrade to 1gb other den that this laptop is nice so far
 
a week without any pictures? Well that wont work!

Some pics of my Dell M1710, I'll take better ones later tonight. CS:S at 1920x1200 full details 2xAA/16xAF looks absolutely stunning. Best part is I got my 7900 Go GTX clocked at 625/1500 so it handles it no sweat and the GPU doesn't get very hot either:

As usual, everyone's looking to pin this incident on that easiest of scapegoats -- the malfunctioning battery -- but whatever the problem turns out to be, we're sure hoping it gets fixed before another notebook decides to disobey the "no smoking" sign and light up on an airplane.

It aint a DB image. I dont remember seeing it in the members gallery before. And its the wrong shape of a watermark to be DB.
 
Got a few crappy pics of my 2 week old M1210. I'm deployed in Qatar now so I don't have much room hence the pics on my bed. :p

My brother received the E1405 for highschool graduation. The Dell is pretty nice, although I'm not too sure about the plastic latches.

I spent way too much on it but I really do like this thing. For it to be so powerful and small is amazing. I've been getting a lot of compliments on it.
 
Thought I'd put in my laptops. Just got the E1705 a week ago...I figure it'll suit my multimedia purposes quite nicely, while my T43 does my school work and other non-multimedia tasks.

The E1705 is so thick, that the entire T43 only comes up to the palmrest.

*edit*Good thing I looked at this thread again...just noticed that the plastic trim around the keyboard wasn't snapped back into place after I took it apart to put AS5 on the CPU and GPU.
 
Here is my new mALX notebook fully loaded. It took me over 2 months to get... but it was all worth it. Additional pics are available if wanted! There is color changing paint, which you can see from the last pic.

Brief spec's are 19'' Widescreen display
2GB ram
2 7900go GTX
ML-44 Turion

Thats the "guts" and it came with a ton of extras. Such as a Razer diamondback mouse, some incredible headphones, a shaggymac screen protector (viewable from the first pic), a VERY nice backpack carrying case, a very nice mouse pad, shirts, and more that you can see from the website.

Seriously, I am on a 2405 and i still had to scroll, thats just ridiculous. :rolleyes:
 
sorry about that i was kinda in a rush didnt really take time to see how big they were. anyone know how to resize using tags? or should i just rehost them.
