Tom's Hardware recently published a review of higher-end vid cards here:

Folks gave some great info and advice for the same price range you're looking for.
We received the PCs from AVA Direct last Friday, but I just now have taken the chance to update this thread.
Each system's specs (they're identical, and I need up update my sig...):

# ANTEC, Performance One P180 Silver Mid Tower...
Delivery and Tax vary with your location, so my totals likely wouldn't be the same as yours. I'd suggest getting a quote from their website for the most accurate totals. :)
UPS just picked up the systems from AVA Direct today, and should be here on Friday if there are no delays.

I'll reiterate what the others here have said: Your best bet is to get a laser printer.
Most inexpensive inkjet printers cost more to repair than it costs to just replace them. More often than not, the inkjet (bubblejet, deskjet, etc.) printers' parts are more fragile and prone to breakage...
I don't have a clue. I'd guess it's an Antec, but I really don't know for sure.
It's listed with the case just as a "450W PSU", but I'm sure that the folks at Ava Direct wouldn't build a PC with a sub-par power supply. ;)
Welp... I ordered the wife and I a couple of new PCs from a boutique shop; I chose Ava Direct, since they're highly rated and have some of the best configuration options I've seen on a website.

Heheh... Yeah. I think I will. It's a nice lookin' case, too. :D
That's a really nice little ITX setup, with some good HD info in the thread, too.
I think I may go with one of the AMD solutions. Lower cost, and it should do just about everything I need in a HTPC.
Still not sure which...
Here's a relatively inexpencive HTPC setup that I'm thinking of building...
I don't know a lot about HTPC systems, except that they need to be able to handle multimedia tasks, file conversions, and HD video. So, this may not be the best selection for a ~$500 system. Any feedback would be...
