Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the linked review!
As for Corsair vs others, I've just personally had better luck with Corsair products I've had over the years. I didn't come across any notable comments not recommending the Corsair or the EVGA PSUs, so I just defaulted to the Corsair.
I ended up jumping on the 15%...
Jumped on this 30 minutes ago with the 15% sitewide discount. Was still at $289 when I purchased!
Upgrading from an i5-2500k!
Now the agonizing wait for it and the rest of the parts lol.
Good to hear. Wasn't sure about amd vs intel. Or if I'm just thinking 'moar cores/threads!' since I've wished I had gone for an i7 2700k back in the day lol.
Not too addicted. Would be nice yes, but more concerned with minimum frames at the moment as that's what's bothering me with my system...
Caught a good deal on some DDR4 ram, so I suppose it's finally time to upgrade from my trusty i5-2500k! Any opinions and advice welcome.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Primarily gaming. Light streaming & photo/audio creation
2) What's your budget...
Really, the only thing I'd say against Blum is just how much his voice stands out compared to the other common game/anime VAs. Compared to the tones of Troy Baker, Kari Wahlgren, Jennifer Hale, or Nolan North, Blum's voice is like a punch in the face. =P
:p
While I read that the reference coolers have gotten better, my 260GTX's reference cooler drives me nutty sometimes. Enough so, I never leave the system running now that I have an SSD lol.
I did get the 7950 w/game bundle ordered for the $261 price (plus cat6 cable heh). Now just to...
Another pickle for this meal...Newegg's out of bundle keys. >.> Maybe things will be in stock Monday.
Edit: And the PNY card is $310 after discounts now.
The 7950 I linked is a Boost (925Mhz) version; even listed in the link you gave.
PNY's definition of lifetime kind of sucks, yeah. But I haven't expected a lifetime warranty on a video card since EVGA/XFX dropped theirs.
Thanks for replying! The PNY being out of stock makes the choice a bit...
So, currently this PNY 670 card is selling for ~$280 AR, same price as the Sapphire 7950. That's $260 for either, with the v.me deal.
I... cannot decide between these. Some extra opinions would be great.
-I have no preference between AMD/nVidia. I've had both, no bad past experiences.
-I...
This would be a Depth of Field effect added by a number of visual mods. ENB and Dynavision are the most likely culprits (both of their DoFs can be tweaked/disabled). There's likely other visual mods that add DoF but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
I see the applicable unofficial patches as 'no reason NOT to install' sort of mods. The numerous entry fixes go a long way for a more consistent/stable base. Though they should be among the first to be installed/loaded and let other more finicky mods take precedence in vanilla data...
Texture Combiner attempts to combine many of the big and popular texture mods in a seamless, mostly automated, manner. Download the textures you want to use, extract them in the folder setup the TC readme says, and run the batch.
STEP is a guided setup with similar goals (a high res Skyrim with...
Check through PISE, ASIS and Enhanced High-Level Gameplay, as they each affect enemy levelled lists. I'd pick ASIS as it's the most up-to-date (PISE is it's predecessor, EHLG was last updated in April), and it uses a patching method for high compatibility. But I don't know if there's something...
But this doesn't give true analog to PC users, as far as what the video demo shows, or even games without native gamepad support (x360 controller enabled, etc.). It only moves the binary control to your wrist and elbow.
Same issue Demon10000 and SeeThruHead point out above. Even if you get...
HiAlgoBoost *might* help. It reduces the pixel count on screen whenever you're actively moving/fighting, so you get better framerate when it's needed. Most reviews I see say that the best bang from using the mod is on systems with more current CPUs but outdated GPUs, so your mileage may vary.
