I got the board 3 years ago and its the one with the tail. Its an Asrock Z87 Pro 3

So I was removing my 7970 to out to put in in my new zotac 1070 and the plastic part attached to the PCI-E slot in my motherboard snapped off. Long story short my 1070 works fine but me being OCD and paranoid I don't want my new card to sag or get damaged...will this happen if it is screwed in...

The R9 Fury is $599 and the Fury X is about $650. Doesn't the 1070 crush the R9 Fury tho..? Im currently rocking an ancient ASUS 7970 lol
