Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Heh, doubt you may wander back in here but incase you do.
I ended up just sitting on my hands and waiting (since there were still delays in my going to Japan due to some obvious reasons back then ;)
I do have a tentative date now for going there and will probably build a SFF server over...
Hey sorry for the delayed reply, you can imagine how things have been with my plans to go to Japan with the earthquake and tsunami and nuclear reactors etc.
Anyways, since I may be looking at more time, theres a possibility of building a new server here.
What hardware besides the hdds is...
Exactly what was on my mind when I read his post. While that might "save" a small amount of power when im gaming, the power usage would be much higher for the other 16 hours when my PS3/Gaming rig are off.
As to the person before you who posted about bic camera etc.
I have been to Japan...
Yeah, and I may do that. I am more likely to hold off on adding more HDDs than I am with waiting on a RAM upgrade.
Any recommendations on cases besides the Habey (preferably readily accessible ones because Japan may or may not have the obscure ones)
as I am not sure that will be easy to...
I would think using a 64bit Linux OS would make having more ram less important since it itself doesnt use as much memory as say. windows 2k8 R2. neither costs me money, so making it cheaper via linux isnt a big issue. I was thinking of giving Linux another go though as I enjoy the learning...
Forgive me if its just my being exhausted and brain not functioning, but what is a "Haby"
I will say I get the occasional "cant keep up" error message in my logs on the T7200, but that could be because its windows + other stuff running in background.
interms of actualy performance its...
I cant say for sure at 5-10 people, but I can't say its to much CPU for running the minecraft server.
As for space, ive seen some interesting small cases that can take 4-6 HDD's, but I would guess I would want somewhere between 2 and 6 hdds (probably start with 2 and upgrade as needed)...
Hello everyone,
long time no post for me. Here is the scoop, I currently use a old laptop gifted to me by my work as the screen is damaged as my server.
I forgot who makes the computer but the specifications on it are as follows:
Core 2 T7200 @ 2.0 Ghz
2GB Ram (DDR2 Ram but not...
Thanks for the information (even with it being so short, it made sense to me ;)
I have been out of the ATI loop for a long time. I hear people talk about XFX's double lifetime warranty. Are there any other brand suggestions (especially in regard to flashing the BIOS with the 6970's if i...
I have an old GTX260 that is starting to fail in terms of performance even in generic stuff like watching Hulu videos full screen. I used to game at 1680x1050 and the card worked decently for most games except things like Crisis.
I am looking to replace this card which will be my gaming...
So I have had mine laying around for a long time because I didnt have the Mozart TX case anymore. I recently got my hands on a free Lanbox Lite which also supports the LCD. I of course have no idea where my remote and Metal cage (to install the LCD into things) went. I contacted Thermaltake...
So, im not hugely worried about this issue as Fujitsu has already told me they will refund the total cost of the machine if this cant be solved, but I would rather not send it back as I really like the machine.
Basically here is the problem. I have a fujitsu TH700 brand new. I wanted to be...
Thanks for the update Griffinhart, I actualy called HP today and got some information on it.
I asked about the release of the customizable icore TM2's and unfortunately, they have no date yet, and the man told me that they usually get about a months notice on upcoming products. So unless HP...
One thing I noticed while reading the specifications on the HP site, granted the older TM2T not the new icore ones. That the screen is 12.1" 1280x800 that supports touch and pen input, but does NOT speak about multitouch. Do the HP ones not have Dual Digitizers with a capacitive layer for...
