I'm not sure if I would get sub 300 prices anymore on these cards. Does anyone think boxing day might offer something? Or the new year in general?
I shit the bed on that one then didn't I.
I'll have to wait until around boxing day.
Anything I should avoid from the 7970 series (manufacturer wise) ?
Was wondering what a good price is for a 7970 nowadays, and if I should wait or buy now.
I've found these two which seem reasonable, anything wrong with them?
392.39 (CAD) - 7970 1000mhz OC edition - free shipping...
Nah I don't, however I've found that it may have been a setting undervoltage issue with the GPUs.
I upped it to 1187 mV and I haven't had a crash yet, so I'll keep an eye on it.
The thing is that I ran stress test for both the GPU (Furmark) and ram (memtest86) and CPU (prime95), one each night this past week - returning no crashes.
I doubt it can be unstable overclock, but I'll dial back the GPUs to start and see what happens.
Hey guys,
I've been running into some issues as of late bsoding, and I'm trying to rule out possible issues.
I was considering that this may be a PSU issue, and I've tried to calculate myself and it seemed ok, but to make sure I thought i'd ask you guys.
It's a 750W Antec TP Blue...
I did what you reccomended with furmark to ensure the second one was actually doing something, and the result was from 30 frames to 60.
I ran the uniengine with xfire enabled.. and here are the results:http://i.imgur.com/Fl7jI.png
I think overall it is running well...
I am a little...

FURMARK bench results http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_192_score.php?id=76280
Anyone comment if that is good or not for the setup I am running?
I swapped the cards... it now works.....(Card 1 from pcie slot 1 to slot 3, and Card from pcie slot 3 to slot1)
I'll attribute to magical card fairies/devils.
Thanks for your help
What about the second card not showing up at all in the CCC ?
I see 0 improvement in games.
What bench should I run to test if they are actually working as they should ?
To start they are seated correctly, bridge connected properly, in the proper slots (1 and 3 pcie) on a crosshair IV formula extreme motherboard, flashed to most up to date bios.
I've reinstalled drivers, juggled cards around etc.

That's a given, I don't like dealing with the hassle if it did ever happen.
That being said, I found this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1179518/seans-ssd-buyers-guide-information-thread, seems pretty legit.
