Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Up for grabs is one good condition eVGA 7900GT Signature series. This card is in good shape, and works perfectly. I've decided to return to ATI, so I'm letting it go. I've had the card for several months, and bought it from a member here at hardocp. This is for the card only. No box...
Hmm... that lasted all of ten minutes. Now I'm back to square one, and have not been able to duplicate my previous results. I did find out that frontiernet uses pppoa, and their tech support told me that there was no way to make it work.
Thanks for the info. I've been there, but wasn't sure if that would work for me as the 6520 is set to "RFC-2684 Bridged/IP" instead of "pppoe", and there is no username/password information to use with my router. I'll try this anyway, as I can always reset things. Any other info would be...
I recently signed up with frontiernet, and am using a Siemens 6520 as a modem/gateway and I hate it. I want to be able to bypass the 6520's built in routing/gateway functionality, and use it as a modem--nothing more. All routing/wireless/dhcp/forwarding functions should go through my WRT54GL...
I've done everything short of taking the motherboard out of the case, and trying another PSU. I'll try the PSU first when I get home, then take the mobo out if that doesn't work.
Thanks
EDIT: Problem solved. It was a bad floppy cable. When I disconnected the cables to the drives, I...
Last night I finished building another SFF system. Specs are as follows.
DFI RS482 mATX mobo
FX-55 Clawhammer Processor
OCZ Modstream 520 Watt PSU
Ultra Microfly mATX Case
GEIL Golden Dragon DDR RAM (2x512mb)
Sapphire X800GTO2 modded to an X850xt
My problem is this: When I press the...
IMO, Ultra/Chenming/Aspire/whoever needs to learn one thing from the Aria--Build quality. The Aria may have a weak PSU, and horrible temps, but it's a rock solid case in terms of structural rigidity.
I third the nomination. I've owned a QPack in the past, and currently own a Microfly. The only area the QPack beats the Microfly is in the top/side cover. The Qpack uses one piece of aluminum to cover the sides and top. This adds some structural rigidity. The Microfly uses three separate...
I have an eVGA 7900GT Signature Series. I've only had it for a couple of days, but my initial impression is a good one. It's very fast. :) The card ships with the clocks set at 600/800. It's currently overclocked to 620/900 with the stock heatsink running completelly stable. The RAM is...
