I have four 1GB Corsair mem sticks in my AN8 32x board. When windows boots, and I go into control panel then system, all it's showing is 2.5GB. any suggestions on how to fix this? the bios recognizes all 4 GB.
i replaced the cpu. no go. it's does the same thing. no activity on the monitor and the POST code display shows 9.0. any more suggestions? anyone think it's the mobo?
i tried both cards individually and all 4 sticks individually. i dont think it is the memory because i took all 4 sticks out and replaced them with some geil sticks. i removed the ide cables connecting the hdd's and the cd/dvd drives. i'm getting them same zero response. the tower powers up...
I don't want to jump on the whole bad mobo/cpu band wagon until i'm positive that's the problem. I had one major question, The 2 XFX vid cards are both dual DVI out and my sony 19" lcd doesn't have a DVI input. Currently, I have the VGA end plugged into the monitor and the VGA-to-DVI adapter...
I tried running it with one vid card and just necessary hardware (i.e. - i removed the sound card etc), and still i got no output to the monitor. i double checked the IDE pins on both ports on the mobo and both HDD's. any more suggestions?
i'm looking to build an SLi system now. would two of the above listed vid cards be good for an SLi setup or should I look into other cards. I'm also looking at a new psu. iwas looking at an OCZ 520W SLi certified. thoughts?
