I took a look at the event viewer over the weekend. One of the HDDs is getting an error everyonce in a while. Its the drive that has all the music, so that explains that. Might also explain slow windows load time
I currently have 3 HDDs in my desktop. When just the OS HDD is connected, Win 7 x64 loads fast, usaully within seconds. But with the other HDDs, windows takes several minutes to load. All drives are SATA internal, and i have checked the boot order.
Any ideas?
Edit:
I have issues running...
I have an external HDD that will register on the desktop when i use the USB, but when i use the eSata i get nothing. I check the Bios to make sure it was enabled.
not sure what im missing
Ill try the CD. I actually bought a new PSU, still had issues, and am returning the extr PSU today. I need to find some extra memory. I am using P6T certified memory but just thought i would see if that was the issue.
I've got more of the errors in my system event log then numbers in my contact list (ok not really but there are a lot)

I for the life of me cant get these either to be created or show up.
I have made sure the Windows Error Reporting service is on and Automatic. Tried, kernel, and small file. Created the folder in windows, and on my desktop and told to save in those folders. But still no dump files!
What gives?
Friday i was able to run Prime95 and Burn In Test several times, do multiple test with no issue. I played music, loaded 3D drafting software even did some renderings.
Sunday was a really bad day. About 20min of being on, the computer froze up while i was setting up my media librarys in WMC...
I was having some issues last night. Issues loading a couple drivers, it would hang up and i would restart. Well i let it sit there and got a BSOD.
In general windows takes a while to load, and while the comp is running ill have CPUz, realtemp, asus probe, and hwmonitor. Ran Prime 95 and burn...
Took the PSU to a shop in town, came back good. But they cant test under a load, so cant really know how good it is. Also tested the cable and showed current for all 3 devices. We are thinking that the cable will not support the load for 3 devices.
I bought some molex:sata cables and have 2...
I have a couple posts about the PSU itself. But nothing really telling me it is complete crap. Is there something I can do to monitor or test the PSU?
I am at a point where i need to eliminate the issue in my rig:
1. Bad PSU - Causing inconsistent power to HDDs (explains errors, and clicking...
Nope and nope. We noticed last week, thought it may have been sata data cables. I did not test every option last night, but when i switched cables completely it worked just fine.
Note, that when I worked on this last, we would get one, two or some times all 3 drives, but not always able to boot...
The PSU i have has enough sata power plugs for 6 devices. I currently have 5HDD and am ordering 2 more and an optical drive. I would think that I could just find a 4pin molex to sata conversion, is that correct?
I got my rig running again, but noticed that the HDDs could only be recognized in a specific order using the cables. I switched to a new set (modular PSU) and it worked fine. It may have been a different configuration that did it, but in general is that normal?

What about the bad HDDs, 2 brand new drives making noises and the stallint out on windows load when a certain congifuration is setup? I edited the OP, noticed some spelling and some errors and added something to help explain the HDD issues.
At some point i did notice that the jbmicron RAID...
