Considering you are contemplating a second, what are your initial thoughts on image quality, lag, etc.

What warranty did you get? I do not see one that gives a subtotal that matches yours.

I confirmed with Adorama Customer Service (called them) that this monitor is NOT treated as a Television so it has the standard 30 day return period.

Absolutely! I bought one to try out. Not going to lie...mine is going back because it is too small for me, but your mileage may vary...give it a shot, you've got nothing to lose.
