    I've had this problem and realized my VGA port on the video card was dying. I switched over to DVI and haven't had any problems. Hopefully it's that simple for you.

    Trying to get a second computer working. Could I run a 9800gt, 2.8ghz dual core Pentium D with one HDD and one DVD player/burner, plus two case fans? quick edit: the 9800gts are said to draw roughly 100 watts.
