I was thinking Styrene would work well and you can buy a good amount for a few bucks. It's a bit easier to work with too.

Do you have a card you could test with? Either way a GPU would probably be cheaper than a new mobo.

I've had this problem and realized my VGA port on the video card was dying. I switched over to DVI and haven't had any problems. Hopefully it's that simple for you.
