evt,
I have the option for 1080 30Hz. That is 1080P. 1080i is 59.97Hz. I will have to check, come to think of it my DVR only does 1080i, so I must have done 1080i for this quick test. My DVD player has 1080P, so I will need to check it with that input and see what options I get then.
That...
Since I had been working on getting the Capture RAID 0 setup working, I did not realized I bought the Total Media Extreme BD/HD which included the Theatre 3 for $119.
I used the licensed version to play the BluRay Transformers disk last night and it was awesome. Flawless.
I will be working...
SOLVED!
I had to set the drive jumpers to 1.5Gb/s transfer due to the length of my SAS Multilanex4 cables (2 Meter).
It is working perfectly now without issue and is FAST. 484Mb/s transfer rates with the 4 Seagate 500Gb in the RAID 0 on the ICH10R.
I downloaded the ArcSoft Total Media from the web as a demo. Purchased it after I knew it would work with my equipment combination.
I think the first poster was talking about burning his own BluRay dvd's for their high capacity, 25Gb and 50Gb(dual layer), not copying BluRay Movie DVD which...
Thanks for the information. Turns out with the length (2 Meter) of SAS Multilanex4 cable I was using, I needed to set the drives (via the jumpers on the back) to Generation 1, 1.5Gb/s rates. Now they all show the same as Generation 1 and the system is working perfectly.
I am troubleshooting the weird errors on my ICH10R RAID 0 array of 4 Seagate 500 GB drives (ST3500320NS).
When I display the drives, two of them show a "Current Serial ATA Transfer Mode" of "Generation 2." That is 3.0Gb/s right?
Yet two of the other drives show "Generation 1." 1.5Gb/s...
For playing PowerDVD was garbage. Got incompatible components messages with my ATI 4850x2 card, so using ArcSoft Total Media which is great for playback.
I will be checking out anydvd now and let you all know.
Gigabyte provides a PCI slot adapter card that allows you to use two of you sata ports and connect two eSata cables and power via the back of the computer.
These are just extensions of the two internal ports through the back of computer, with a power port.
Thanks for the help.
I am not using SAS, just extended the SATA to the external case using the multilanex4 cables.
There is not enough room in the case for 8 drives. With the BluRay recorder, the DVD recorder, the ATI 4850x2 board (dual slot and 12" long), the BlackMagic Intensity Pro...
I have the new Gigabyte GA EX58 UD5 motherboard which has the ICH10R Intel RAID with 6 ports and the GSATA (Gigabyte SATA) with 4 ports. I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit version as the OS.
I have the Enhance Technology E8-ML external case which has dual SAS Multilane-4 channels...
