Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the response. This series has frustrated me so much since Reunion. There is so much potential there, but it is hampered by terrible performance during any type of large scale combat. I get a few capital ships and a bunch of fighters and then just give up because actually doing...
So what kind of performance are people getting in this? I get a constant 60 fps most of the time, but during battles involving more than just a couple fighters I'm sinking down to 15-20 fps.
For reference I have:
i7-875k
HD 5870
8GB of RAM
During this scene I was getting about 20 fps:
As far as I know, I'm talking about the slow display mode switching bug, the last one on your list. Manifests itself everytime I load a 3D application (in full screen mode. works just fine if I start in windowed mode). One screen goes black followed by the second and they sit there black for...
I just want to point out that the front page says switching to drivers earlier than 11.1 resolves the slow mode switching problem. Well, I've switched back to 10.12 to try and get away from it and the problem is still present. A little google searching shows some posts on the amd forums...
Oh, thanks so much for the info Rev. I was not aware that it was a known problem. It's disheartening to see there is no workaround, but at least there is awareness. I hope AMD is aware of it.
So I have a bit of a problem whenever I launch a full screen application and I'm a bit stumped.
Problem: Start fullscreen application. Primary monitor goes black, followed by secondary monitor. Both sit there black for up to 30 sec. Both monitors go back to desktop for a few seconds. Then...
I second this one. It is absolutely amazing. Only costs $30.
Nice graphics...not Crysis level, but it looks quite pretty.
Ship customization-pick parts and arrange/scale them anyway you see fit.
Newtonian flight model (can switch to IDS mode that is similar to the flight model used...
I agree with you on this point, I definitely misunderstood your message earlier. I'm very much afraid this will become the standard and if it does I'm jumping ship. I got enough QUALITY games that I won't really be that bummed out about it.
Very first info I heard when they first presented it was that you pay for the subscription AND games. I thought, "well that's lame" and haven't really followed it since. I agree that if you ONLY had to pay the subscription ($20-40/month) it would be financially attractive. I don't think that...
Yeah, seriously man, forget paying hundreds of dollars on a gaming rig. Instead, let's pay Onlive a few hundred dollars in subscription fees over a few years for a subpar experience. Even assuming the subscription fee is very low, like $20/month, that's still $960 after four years. You still...
Okay, I'm wanting to set up a dual monitor configuration, but I had a couple questions I was hoping someone on here could answer.
1) I mainly want two monitors so that I can game on one while watching TV (through a tuner card) or a DVD on the other. Will this work fine if I game in full...
If you enjoy playing a character who utilizes magic, I highly recommend installing Midas Magic and Less Annoying Magic Experience (L.A.M.E.).
L.A.M.E. increases the usefullness of spells. Summons and shield spells now last for a minute or more instead of 20 seconds or less and cost the...
