Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi all. I recently purchased a unibody MacBook in November, and I have Windows XP SP3 installed with Boot Camp. I use it to play most Steam engine games (TF2, Portal, HL2, etc), and they run great. I know that L4D's requirements are a bit higher though, so I was wondering if anyone had any...
Currently at work we have four or five servers, spread all over the building. All but one are in standard ATX cases (I believe the other is in an EATX case, but I think the motherboard itself is actually ATX). Recently there has been talk of moving all of the servers into one dedicated room for...
Here's the situation:
The company I work for currently burns completed jobs to DVDs, and stores them in binders. One set of binders on site for easy retrieval (old jobs are frequently used as a basis for new ones), and one set off site in case anything happens to the on site ones. The amount...
The only real issue is having to unplug/replug everything every time you want to move the laptop. If you never plan on being mobile with it then it's not that big a deal, otherwise you might consider a dock.
Also, I don't know this for sure, but I'm fairly certain keeping a laptop plugged in...
I had the same problem with a different drive.
There were a few suggestions in this thread, nothing helped my situation though:

Well, you could get a toughbook or something like that if you're really concerned. They tend to cost more for the specs that you get, but they're ridiculously durable.
Good to know. My laptop bag is small, length and width is about the same as my 14" laptop, and no more than three inches thick, so I'm not too concerned about that.
Thanks guys.
Now I just need to figure out which live CD I want to use while at def con. Talk about a hostile network ;)
I'm flying to California at the end of the month, and from there to Vegas a few days later for Def Con. I'd like to bring my laptop. I've never flown with one before, has anyone ever had a problem bringing one carry-on?
I'm the lone IT guy for a gauge and fixture company. My day to day tasks are usually just setting up new systems, troubleshooting problems that come up, and doing our daily and weekly backups. Obviously since I'm the onyl guy I do other stuff too, but that's pretty much my job on a regular...
This is driving me absolutely crazy.
I'd like to get my DS Lite connected to my network for gaming, and using the web browser as a remote for certain applications. My wireless network uses WPA, which the DS doesn't support. My solution to this was to connect to my network with my laptop's...
