    The driver is 100% related to the noise, it happened the second I installed it. It must be CnQ related, dunno how :confused: Not that worried really, the only game that I get stuttering in is CoD2, there is a patch that will fix this, due shortly. Seems to be nice and fast running my X2...

    I don't use CnQ, still stutters. XP SP2 got a hotfix that was additional to the AMD Driver, XP64 got nothing.

    Yeah the stutter is a dual core issue, I had no such problems with an Opteron 146.

    Nice, my X2 3800+ CDHBE 0601 needed 1.5v to do 2.6GHz (P95 ran on each core for 10hrs) Slightly off topic, but do you have the stutter prob with that CPU under X64? Theres an XP SP2 fix but nothing as yet for us X64 users? :confused:

I do have some components from my last setup (Swiftech 6002, eheim 1250, thermochill pa160, maze 4 gpu and all the tubing etc).... but I dont think the pa160 will fit in my case...

    Just bought one of these and have noticed you mount it onto the existing CPU bracket, but does it sit on the 4 x plastic studs like a stock cooler does, or does it sit straight onto the CPU? Was thinking about removing my 3700 Clawhammers IHS but I obviously don't want to be doing the IHS...
