Just to update here. This is the 34" monitor i was looking at: http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UM88-P-ultrawide-monitor 1440P and i would get 75mhz refresh rate with the FreeSync. Correct me if i am wrong, but that gives me higher resolution and pixel density would should in theory provide...

ahh, i should have clarified. I would definitely go with the 4k 34" monitor based off folks notes here. Sorry about that, but that would be my direction for sure.
