    My rig has an 80mm fan at the front as an intake. I noticed my primary HDD (120gb WDigital drive with 2mb cache) was generating some heat, and so mounted it fairly low in the case so that air from the front intake is blown accross it. This has done a nice job of reducing the temp on the drive...

    are you sure they're variable speed fans?? If not attaching a fan controller and upping the speed would prob just burn them out.
