i should have read the whole manual. it says they include a jumper for some reason that limits the hard drive to 32 gbs. its a pain to take out.
also how should i partition my hard drive. should i do 250 in one. or should i have like 5gbs as a second partition.
never mind i fixed that error. Now when i go to install it, it only shows 32 gb on the partition screen. my hard drive is 250gb. what is causing the problem here. It is a maxtor drive.
I just bought a new maxtor 250 gb hard drive and now it is not installing windows xp. My old one died. so when the cd starts up it does copying files but i get an error. It says could not copy file\i386\hal\aacp.dll. is this a hard drive prob or an xp cd problem?
the only thing is will my hard drive corrupt my dell hard drive when i put it in?
i think my power supply is 250 watts for a dell. i guess i am gonna try it.
is there a chance my motherboard messed up agian too? i just had to buy the same mobo a week ago. I will try it on another computer but i do not know if i have enough power. also it is a 4 year old dell so i dont know if its wise to do that.
