In the case of the Aquatube all you do is take the screws off the plexi and fill the res (that's what I've heard).
I've got the MCP650 but some have said it's loud. I think it's subjective tho.
What I plan on doing when I start to install my WC parts is to put everything into my rig and hook up the pump to an external power supply (not the comp. psu). Fill the res with coolant via a fill port and then run a leak test for a day or two.
