So I've been really taking my time with my first ever water cooling setup. I got the parts last friday and just last night is when I started my leak testing. Right away I noticed massive leak which appeared to be coming from my DDC pump. After screwing with my clamp and fittings on that for about 20 mins, I realized it was all dripping down the tube from my rad fitting. When the lable taped to the box says "Do not overtighten fittings", I will listen next time.... When I screwed it in, the O-ring actually popped out lossing it's seel between the threading and the rad. Now, after running it for a couple hours, I realized that I have a slight leak in my res threads. My res has holes for 3 barbed fittings. My output on the res is fine, no leaks there. One of my intakes I have plugged with the provided stopper, it leaks. And my other intake has a 3/8" barbed fitting, it leaks, but not as bad as the plug. I've tried many different tightning and loosening of the threads, but nothing I do seems to effect the dripping. I do have another threaded fitting that I can try but I don't want to drain my whole res just to replace the fitting. I was thinking maybe even caulking up the seel. I thought about epoxy, but I'm not to sure how well it will act with the plastic res and fittings..... I have a spare tube of clear bathroom seelant in the garage that seems like it would do the trick. I wouldn't mind about not being able to remove the fittings.

So what do you guys think, will caulk work to seal my leak without destroying my res????

I would really like to my my comp back together ASAP.

You could try gobs of aquarium silicone adhesive/caulk. It might look like crap but it should work.

If it's just the threads that have been "over sized", I would just wrap the barb threads with teflon tape and re-insert the barbs.

Teflon tape, but careful not to allow tape to get into the cooling loop.

The barbs originally came with some tape on them, but it obviously wasn't enough, I took them off and retaped them. My pluge still leaked after that, so this morning I retaped it again with a massive amount, enough that I had to use pliers to screw it down from the start..... And now no more leaks.... At least I sure hope not...
