Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Brak your right, OSX is loaded and running in the background. If a user selects windows it does reboot and start windows in Bootcamp. If they select OSX the screen fades and leaves you with the Mac login. However im more or a windows person and can't seem to find a spot to start. Google is a...
I'm with captain. Virtualization has worked great for CCTV in the scenarios I've seen. Especially when you get into hundreds or thousands of IP Cameras. Better to have a couple of powerful machines than tons of average, but then again it doesn't look as cool.
P.S. Why does every node need a...
If you've got a linksys router you could load ddwrt. It does about everything. Heck you could disable the physical ports all together over your wireless connection. Been awhile since i've used ddwrt but im pretty sure it even has bandwidth throttling. So you could give him a certain amount to use.
As always with technology something new comes out 2 months after you buy the latest thing. Awhile ago I purchased a wrt310n and now see that cisco has released the valet series with greater control and in particular a web authenticated guest network option. I know this is possible with ddwrt and...
Yes, you can just bind the clients to your AD, but you will have little to no management from the servers. You can still configure restrictions, etc. on each individual client.
Your best bet is to bind the clients to both a AD as well as an OD Server. In this situation the computers will...
Theres always the Barracuda Backup Service. Its an appliance based solution that has an optional off-site backup of the info stored on the appliance.

Anybody know where I can find some info on using smart cards with active directory and windows 7 & Vista (No 3rd party stuff just Microsoft). I am finding it difficult to come up with something from Google.
Thanks, but anything more advanced with features like vlan support. I'm not really looking for a hotspot type of situation. This is gonna be for a private network. ;)
Does anyone know of an open source software similar to the Cisco Wireless Control System. One that would control (flashed) linksys routers and access points, similar to how Control System administers Cisco access points.
