Check your FSB:RAM ratio and see if the RAM Frequency reach too high value or not.
Also, make sure your ram isn't being clocked past its limit as you raise the FSB..
what does that mean exactly? Also not sure about raising MCH voltage yet. Going to google for other people's setups with...
Hey, I got a gigabyte p-35 ds3l board and a e2160 intel cpu. Right now the processing speed is at the default of 1800mhz. But it varies from 1200mhz to 1800mhz. And I got a xigatech heatsink.
Anyways I tried overclocking in the past but unfortunately like i got to 2.4ghz than 3.0ghz...
btw do you know if you have to put on new thermal paste after taking off a heatsink? And clean the old stuff off? I just want to make a minor adjustment to how the mobo is seated.
Hi I need to remove my xigmatek heatsink. The one I got is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003
It should unscrew from the front but the backing plate is what concerns me. When you remove it, it's supposed to leave a sticky mess. How do I clean that or can I just...
anyone selling a laptop that is at a decent speed like 2.6ghz single core..or a dual core pc.. and a decent graphics chip to play like counterstrike at good framerate.. And good battery life? Seems like its hard to find deals for under $300 here that meet this description
here are some choices i was looking into with listed video card or graphics controller next to it. Most are dual core too. Of course the sales are over now but I'm assuming could probably these systems again for a similar price point. Only been looking at the hp and compaq's so far, going to...
I've looking to spend around $200 or so.. well I guess my spending range max would hover at the most in the $250 to almost $300 range. But I'd hoping to spend no more than $200 or $220.
Anyways been checking out ebay for some good laptop deals and seems like a decent amount of choice. But...
i've been thinking about getting a new camera and i've seen some low prices recently but i can't decide on which camera is best out of these 3. Please give me some advice on this, here are the choices. I posted the links down below. I'm leaning more towards the last 2, the fuji one might even...
hey reporting back after getting all the parts. Okay everything is setup and i see the bios screen and other screens. One problem though. Well maybe 2.
One is i'm using this ide hd and an ide cdrom. Anyways it won't load up with the hd into windows. Okay not that big of a deal, maybe the...
in one of the reviews for the gigabyte tho, it said the manual said a 500watt psu is recommended, i only have like a 380 or a 400watt one, something like that. So a bit hesitant now about getting the gigabyte one until i can read some more reviews. Hmmmm, don't think it'll be a problem though...
hey need help on one last thing, still deciding between these 2 mobos. Both are good which makes it hard to choose one over the other:
Foxconn A74MX-K AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
i already sent one guy money for the 3800+ chip and i don't want a processor like that involved in my next setup. Besides if anything i'd focus on overclocking the cpu i got now, rather than upgrading. I got to 3ghz before but ran into trouble with the voltages, think i had to raise it more or...
okay, was really interested in getting the foxconn board and i mean it's still a very nice board but, a lot of people keep saying it's not a gamers board and doesn't really support cpu's above 95watts. I don't care about the cpu thing that much though, but don't understand about it not being a...
