Need a IBM Thinkpad T30 restore disk! Need to reload OS.

I've used a standard Win XP disk to re-install on a bunch of t30, r30 and r51 ThinkPads and never had a problem re-using the standard XP keys from the bottom. I don't think any of ours came with rescue disks.

    ASRock 939Dual-SATA2

If I remember correctly, the only difference in the dual sata2 and the dual VSTA is the built in sound. Can't you just download the drivers for the VSTA and use them? There's an AGP patch, Lan driver and ULI SATA driver for vista.

Re: Staples Black Friday 200GB Maxtor Rebate

Update - Mine says "Check has been printed/mailed." I never had the "declined" status but I still thought it would faster than this one has been. The last Staples rebate I had was completed in just under 4 weeks but that was from last years Presidents Day sale.

    My linksys router s*cks

I'm using all 4 wired and 1 wireless PC and a few PSP's and a DS on my wireless with the Buffalo WHR-G54S. It's not uncommon to have my Daughter surfing and IM'ing with her friends while my Son plays Guild Wars or WOW online while I'm connected to work through a VPN connection. Never had any...

I think the only real difference other than the name is they changed the onboard audio to c-media instead of th realtek on the older board.

    Which 939 processor is best?

I just picked up the same deal a while back on the Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 and I got an A64 3200+ Venice for 30 bucks off eBay. OC'd it to 2.5Ghz rock solid stable and I'm very happy with it. I'll get a dual core when the price is under 100 or when I see a need.

    My linksys router s*cks

Get a Buffalo WHR-G54S for < $50 bucks and you'll be happy! It's a stable, cheap router with all of the features that you'll need and it's DD-WRT upgradeable with a bunch of info on the web, if you choose to go that route. I've got one with 4 wired PC's and a wireless laptop and for Home use...

Best way to hold a CPU to clean it?

I assumed (and hope) he was talking about the bare core not the heatspreader! I'm used to cleaning my old Athlon XP's!

Best way to hold a CPU to clean it?

Yeah hold it by the edges. I use an old (sterilized) soft bristle toothbrush very lightly. AS5 can be rough to removed completely.
