Hate to disappoint you but Crysis is more GPU bound than it is CPU bound. Depending on what you got right now, the CPU/mobo upgrade might not solve your problem.
With a 8800 GTX I can barely run the game at Medium setting at my native res (1680x1050).
GPU is hot as always. I'm seeing it idling in the 70s. CPU idles in the high 40s. CPU starts at 36 C then slowly climbs up as I leave it idling longer since the GPU just spews out hot air and it gets circulated in the case.
I wish the G80 wasn't so hot. If I had another card I would test it...
I finally got time around to transferring my stuff over to the new PC-A05B. I must say I'm impressed by the temperatures. I wasn't expecting much but my CPU temps have gone down a little bit. Anyways the case fans are nothing to scream about. Loud as hell, so I swapped them for 2 Scythe S-FLEXs...
Has anyone had any experience putting a carrying handle onto a case? I want one on the top so I can kinda just carry it around going to LAN parties. Anyone have any suggestions?
