i actually did manage basic vendor capabilities just now using a combination of drupal, and the ubercart and ubercart marketplace extensions.
this will probably do just fine as my starting point for tinkering, but if anyone else has any recommendations i'd appreciate it.

i'm starting an online business of sorts and i need some kind of ecommerce software (ie. magento) that allows certain users with special privileges to upload their own storefronts
open to any and all suggestions. preferably free/open source but if there's a paid service that excels i'm not...
The only real problem I see is that you chose an AM3 board (which only accepts DDR3 memory). If you want to use DDR2, you'll have to use an AM2+ board.
It's not so much that it's garbage, so much as I just think it's just unnecessary. Up until now my parents have only used XP. I don't want them to have to switch operating systems twice in one year. Not to mention that the cost of the license has to be fit in somewhere and we might not even get...

i synced my ipod using winamp so that i wouldn't be missing songs and from sheer dumb luck i happened to be looking at my ipod when it skipped over a bob dylan song. nothing seemed weird about the file but i started experimenting and it turns out that the id3v2...
so i did a bunch of research and the most likely thing i found was id3 tag problems or long filenames.
this still doesn't solve the problem of comparing libraries to figure out what's missing though :(
for some reason when i sync the same music directory in itunes and winamp, winamp finds 72 tracks more than itunes.
my first thought was that i somehow had a bunch of songs in some weird format, but that's not the case. i tried to figure out which ones didn't import, but after about an hour...
