Just tried to update the drivers, got this message: "could not locate any drivers compatible with your current hardware."

I just tried to play F.E.A.R again, it locked up hard, then I got a blue screen with this message: Problem with the nv4_disp. Something something is stuck in an infinite loop. I am running windows xp home with a core 2 duo and 7900gs. Any help appreciated.

I recently purchased a Dell Dimension 9200 with the Nvidia 7900gs. I have not overclocked it or anything. The computer is running fine however for some serious issues that I feel are video card related. The computer frequently locks up during F.E.A.R, and any attempt to quit the game (when...

Hey all I just recently purchased a Dell Desktop (that awesome deal on the dimension 9200). Here are my system specs: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400 (2.13GHz,1066FSB) with 2MB cache 2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz Dell USB Keyboard 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 80GB SATA II Hard Drive...

Hey all I recently got a 7900gs and based upon my research, it's a fantastic overclocker so of course I hope to increase its performance. Being new to overclocking, I know that heat/temperature are some serious issues - so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a quality (preferably free!)...

oh yeah, see IM! :p

Thanks for the help - my last question is about power - will my system be able to handle a high end card like the 7950? Chassis 375 Watt DC Power Supply • Heat dissipation: 1280 BTU/hr • Voltage: 90 to 135 V and 180 to 265 V at 50/60 Hz • Backup battery: 3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell...

sigh, I need help again. While x1900 is $200, newegg has a deal on the 7950GT for 292, which seems very very nice. The deal ends today so comments appreciated!

After consulting a bunch of stuff, I think I'm going to end up getting the X1900GT 256MB. $200 is well within my price range and it seems to absolutely BLOW AWAY the 7900gs. comments? would love to hear them :p

That seems to be the big issue, that it eats system memory. however with 2 gigs of ram, and the fact that I only have IE/Itunes open when I play Wow, I cant imagine that being a HUGE deal. I want performance but dont want to pay 200 :p

thanks for the responses so far. what sort of fps improvement would I see from going from the default to the 7900? Like I said, I get 5 fps now, so I'm not exactly looking for an absurd amount ;p

Let me preface this by saying I will use my computer to only play World of Warcraft. I previously (well right now, until my dell comes) used a Powerbook which got me (no joke) about 5 fps in raids. Here is my computer specs: Processor Intel ® Core™2 Duo Processor E6400 (2.13GHz, 1066...
