    its a sony vaio, it has a cd rom. this was second hand laptop, where it cam with no cds. i was going to use a Home Edition XP, or can i use a recovery Disk.

    hello :( i think i killed my laptop, yesterday i turned the laptop as nortmal, start>shut down, after the 'windows shutting down' screen, screen just went blank, power lights were still on and stayed on. so i turned it off by holding to the power button, minutes later i turned it back on...
