Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I ended up getting one of the Hitachis, that specific model. Should I be disappointed? Is that drive as good as the RE4s? It's listed as 2 million hours MTBF so it sounds like they're expecting them to be reliable.
Cases often give a maximum cooler height clearance. For example, the Corsair Obsidian 450D gives a cooler height max of 165mm.
Now my question is - do you compare that number directly against the listed height number that coolers give? Or is it a measurement from the socket, or the top of the...
This may be a stupid question. Those rubber mounting trays that you use to mount the 3.5" drives in the HAF 922 case - does the case come with all 5 that would fit?
I'm looking to mount a new drive, and the rubber trays aren't in my computer nor my box of misc spare parts. So if the case came...
Ah cool, thanks. I may take a gamble on one of the new drives. When you say Hitachi equivelant do you mean ultrastars? You'll either get an RE4 or Ultrastar for $60(+$9)? Sounds great.
Are there any other possibilities? I'd hate to get stuck with a Seagate.
Are refurb drives of this nature reliable? Is that likely to be a server pull? Did a few years of 24/7 in a data center? The one year warranty seems to come from the seller (?), does that mean no WD warranty?
I'm looking for a mass storage data/media/etc. drive. 2TB is about the right size for me. It won't be used to run programs or used too frequently - mostly movies, music, backups, etc. So speed isn't a concern as long as it's reasonable. Ideally I'd like to get one relatively cheaply.
So it...
It won't run without your knowledge, you have to turn it on, but once it's turned on it'll automatically record until it's off. It's actually a really great feature.
Anyway, it does automatically default to storing its buffer file into the windows temp directory, which would be on your C: SSD...
Nvidia's shadowplay records gameplay as you go, keeping a rolling buffer of the last 1-20 minutes as a continuously written file in your windows temp folder. Why they couldn't just hold it in ram instead, I don't know. It's about 300MB/minute at the high quality level, or 5 megs a second. It...
You have to enter the promo code a screen before you can select google wallet, but I was also having trouble even selecting google wallet. Screw it, too much hassle, I'll just wait till amazon ships the $60 out of stock order.
Aha, you enter the promo code before the checkout page (there's a little pencil button on the left). But when I enter MBLWALLET I get
