Wait, you want to have a 300MHz FSB, for 600MHz DDR?
Or you want to have a 600Mhz FSB, for 1200Mhz DDR?
I have a feeling hitting a 600MHz FSB on the AMD platform you have is impossible.
For 600Mhz DDR, even the cheapest sets can do 667MHz DDR at 1.8V, like this one here
Sure, that's one way to look at it, but the industry uses the term to refer to expansion cards that fit in a case that has "low-profile" or short expansion slots. Such as this one. If you look at the specifications, you'll see it next to expansion slots category.
Typically when looking at...
Yeah, the Gigabyte board supports DDR2-1066, but that Q6600 only runs at a fsb of 266, or DDR2-533. So you only need DDR2-533 to run the memory 1:1 with the processor at stock speeds. Need DDR2-666 to run 1:1 with the upcoming Penryn. (Remember the FSB rating on processors is quadrupled, and for...
Actually, not really.
The resistivity of metals increases as temperature increases. So as the card gets hotter, all the circuitry on the board is getting more resistive, which makes the card require more power, which increases the temperature, which makes it more resistive, etc.
Now I'm not...
360 generally looks better over VGA than the component output. You can get this cable.
I tried both, and the VGA is better by a noticeable amount, but the component is certainly decent.
From what I know from reading FAQs (no real-world SLI experience), with the nvidia SLI setup, it is possible to hook up 2 monitors to the cards, and enable SLI when you want to use the one monitor for gaming, and disable SLI via drivers (on the fly, shouldn't require reboot) to get a dual...
The bezel on mine is flush and not movable anywhere.
Also, I get no buzzing sound, in sRGB mode, at any brightness. (I usually run 30).
The service menu says 06/11/02 V 1.420
I'm assuming that's Nov 2nd, 2006.
Interesting, thanks for the input.
I tried both video mode and PC mode for HDMI, with my PC hooked up to it, and the EZ video was greyed out for both, so it is definitely dependent on the source, and not a menu setting.
I was looking back through this thread, and it seems it doesn't work for anybody on HDMI, and one person mentioned it doesn't work for VGA either. So I'm not really sure what it does.
Everyone seems to be getting by without it though.
