derpentine, I'm using the .49 with a 770 on a new build (so no earlier driver experience to compare to) and have played a few hours of BF3 with no major issues and good performance. A couple times I've had some screen tearing/flickering or strange lighting when first loading a map, but it was...
WHQL 320.49 shows up on nvidia's driver search for all cards (incl. 760) except 770, for which it still shows as beta with 320.18 being the WHQL version. Just got my 770 today, should I go for the .49 or is there a good reason it's still listed as beta for my card?
Edit: The 770 is listed in...
I want to reinstall my OS (XP Pro 32 bit) and I'm wondering whether I'll be able to carry over a RAID 0 setup. The array is just used for storage, with two drives running running on the SiI3114 controller that's integrated into my motherboard (MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum). The array was set up in...
Ahh, I realized that it's struggling to read at the outer edge of the disc too. It can't even pull files off the end of a perfectly good disc (I know the disc is good because my plain dvd-rom can pull them). I updated the firmware and it didn't change anything. Luckily it looks like Samsung's...
My 2+ year old NEC DVD burner (model ND-3540A) seems to be broken. When I burn a disc with Nero it goes fine and tells me burning was completed successfully, but if I tell it to verify the data on the disc it screws up at 91%. This matches the fact that I can access data from the "earlier"...

Now the good news. Today, were offering you an...
I'll try the reinstall without uninstalling.
Niceguy, 162.18 is listed as supporting Win XP, 162.22 is the latest release for Vista 32-bit.
Edit: Reinstalling over top of the existing install didn't change anything. I guess I'll just live with it for now.
After installing the new 162.18 drivers, I can't seem to get the control panel to work properly. Initially after the install, when I try to open the control panel from either the right click menu on the desktop or from the tray icon I get the little busy hourglass for a second but then nothing...
6800gt's tend to be hot cards, mine would idle up to 67-68C if it was really hot outside with no AC, and it would pretty routinely go into the high 80s, even low 90s while gaming without any problems. So your idle temp shouldn't worry you too much, but if you're not sure how hot it's getting...
