Well I managed to do a full scan of the raptor drive without crashing and it checked out fine... i'm pretty much at a loss of what to do.

Check out the Viewsonic VX2025WM, the color reproduction is great in my opinion, and from what i've seen so far it retains fairly good quality when scaling down in resolution. Its also just about as fast as it gets in the 20" category, with the NEC being just a tiny bit faster. My only gripes...

I can't say for sure, but that looks to me like picture centering, something you can tweak in the nvidia controls, having to do with how the panel displays non-native resolutions.
