Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Could this be a problem with software conflicting with each other? This is on my laptop and desktop, and I've tried it using both the internet at home and at work (for the laptop), and both have the same problem.
Right now I'm using Windows XP Pro, and firefox version 2.0. This was happening when the beta 2 came out as well, but I'm having a problem downloading files, such as updates and patches to programs. When I try to downloading them, the download goes for a bit, but if the file is bigger than...
What is the best way to increase signal strength and connectivity? Get a better antenna? Right now I'm using a WMP54GS, connected to a WRT54G router. I just dont want my wireless cutting out every 5 minutes and then reconnecting.
I've never really used wireless before, but I'm reading up...
I think I found the problem...I ended up with the AGP440.SYS error, and so after some trial an error, I found out that my DVD-ROM drive was dead, which was causing the file error, so once I reinstalled windows xp pro, it worked fine. Just thought I'd say I figured out the problem.
Oh, I tried booting using a second hard drive (only OS and important, but older, drivers installed) and I came up with the same error, except the computer reboots instead of hanging.
I've been reading online, if I run chkdsk in windows recovery, should that fix it? Any other suggestions...
Ok, I just worked on it during lunch a bit...and when I tried to boot in safemode, it would hang on the agp440.sys driver. Why all of a sudden do that? Is that a problem related to my video card or my motherboard?
According to MS website it has to do with the motherboard chipset. Does that...
Ok, about 2 weeks ago, my DVD-ROM drive would randomly open, even when it was in use, and then it would close itself a minute or 2 later. And after that it sometimes just doesn't boot up at all. If it doesn't start up, the screen turns black just before the windows login screen, and then just...
Ok, I'll check that on lunch today. I just thought it was that because it was the only thing that seemed to be off on my motherboard (when I removed the heatsink, the thermal paste was all dried up). The thing is that it loads and runs fine until just before you go into windows, it just stops...
Is there a way to tell if you fried your motherboard? My situation is that my Abit IC7-G I thought was just dead, but then looking at it I noticed the fan on the northbridge heatsink was not working. I now have a fan blowing into my case and it SOMETIMES starts up. If it doesnt start up, the...
what is the model number of it? and do you know how well it runs?
I'm just curious cause the computer was a gaming machine, and I'm hoping to keep it that way until it can be upgraded.
My motherboard just died on me, and I dont have the money to purchase a new motherboard/ram/cpu/video card combo...so I came here looking for a Socket 478 motherboard that supports AGP. Most of the places online (newegg and monarch) have very few motherboards that support both of those things...
Well...my old headset, a set of platronics audio 90s (got 4 yrears ago), died last night, just stopped working...so I'm in the market for a new one.
Any reccomendations? I'm looking for something that can be used for gaming and chatting. Anything under about $50 would be great.
Thanks!
