    for the extra few dollars u should get an x800pro vivo and then u can open the extra pipelines with a simple bios flash.....but iff u havn't got the extra dollars then the 800 pro is still a great card....

    is it normal for the temp of my x800 pro to jump up 7 or 8 degrees celcious as soon as i open the 3d view in ati tool....ie: it sits at 47deg c and goes to 53 deg c 1 sec after 3d view is open....temp updates are every second on ati tool.

    yes it is not a Vivo which is why i did the hardmod ie:connecting to two contacts which have been laser cut....

    i tried the hardmod for x800pro and flashed the xtbios....i still only have 12 pipelines but have got higher default speeds due to the bios....it has run fine with the xt bios.....shame i couldn't get the extra pipelines though.
