flashing an x800 pro

is it worth flashing the x800pro with the xt bios and still only having 12 pipelines or do the 16 pipelines make the difference.....?

yes, having the extra pipelines makes a nice difference.

That mod will likely only work if it's a VIVO card. The regular pro cards don't usually seem to mod.

Yes the extra pipes do make a difference...Do not attempt mod if your cards not a ViVo it will not work!

i tried the hardmod for x800pro and flashed the xtbios....i still only have 12 pipelines but have got higher default speeds due to the bios....it has run fine with the xt bios.....shame i couldn't get the extra pipelines though.

If it didn't work you probably aren't running on a VIVO x800 Pro, just an x800 Pro. In which case it won't work.

yes it is not a Vivo which is why i did the hardmod ie:connecting to two contacts which have been laser cut....

I flashed my Powercolour VIVO only yesterday and in FRAPS my avg. FPS went from 300~ to 340~ with ONLY the increase in pipelines.
