    Any 24" LCD would be nice. The space you get is a bit less than with two 19" LCDs, but if he primarily games then two 19" LCDs is just a waste. 1920x1200 is a bit much for his card to drive. He could also step down to a 22" LCD if money or resolution is an issue.

    You don't need the Rampage motherboard. Any P45 chipset would work fine. The P5Q Pro is nice as is the Gigabyte P45 series.
