    I had ZERO problems all through Doom3 ROE untill I get to this ONE area and all hell breaks lose. Can't remember the actual area. Seems there is some type of active screen, xray type thigy. The zombies behind it glow green and all you see are thier bones...I drop to 5 fps after going no less...

    Catalyst 5.3

    So far I have not had any problems with the Cat 5.3's, other than the lame CCC. It is nice to look at and the interface kicks ass but I don't have an hour to set everything up.

    I switched from a 5950 Ultra to a x800 XT-PE. One thing I can't STAND is that damn Catalyst Control Center. No way in HELL am I gonna wait 5 minutes for it to load. So I downgraded to the standard control panel and use tray tools.

    The x800xl doesn't even need a extra power connector. It shouldn't need any more power than the bus gives it. Do you still have the 6600? If so try reinstalling xp with that again (I know it is a pain).

    Yeah, I priced it to go. I just upgraded everything to 64bit but went AGP. I am not sold on the whole PCI-E just yet. I will wait till the next generation comes out and then upgrade.
