Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry, but you have 0 information on the topic, so it's not intelligent for you to make so many assumptions in a post, when you could easily have no idea what's actually going on. And then rely on your assumptions which are formed upon 0 information to make aggressive statements and "so...
I don't go out of my way to optimize for hyperthreading.
It's plain multithreaded code.
It benefits from HT without me having to do anything.
Somebody else optimizing something else may reasonably query for real core count vs. virtual core count in order to decide upon thread granularity...
I wrote the program. It's opensource.
That's part of the reason why I'm so damn broke.
It's got linear scaling across cores.
What more do you want from me... exponential scaling?
This is like trying to argue with some guy in the 1980's..
that the 286 processor is not fast enough for 3D...
I think this is because people say the Typhoon leads in static pressure.
Which matters with radiators, cause they restrict airflow.
I haven't worked out the whole "Cougars actually move more air at low RPM, but the Typhoons have better static pressure" thing.
Would be nice to see a shootout of...
Here's my notes, compiled from what people have said,
Please feel free to tear these notes to shreds!
Cougar Vortex:
At low RPM, the Cougars have a less tonal noise than Gentle Typhoons, while moving more air.
Cougars are near silent when mounted vertically.
Cougars produce some whine when...
It's inherently parallelizable, could run on a supercomputer.
It's not perfect in every sense because latency increases by doing so.
Although that increased latency value is only a problem relative to networking technology.
EDIT:
FORGET THE SUPERCOMPUTER. I CANNOT AFFORD ONE.
I am doing...
The software is 1:1 linear scaling across cores with perfect optimization, supporting hundreds of cores if they were available.
And we are behind by a factor of 100 to get the work done.
Hi,
Last I researched, the Cougar Vortex was quite good.
And the Gentle Typhoon was the old standard,
Which case fans beat the Cougar Vortex?
Obviously there's some loud heavy duty ones that will move more air, but...
Which case fans can beat the Cougar Vortex / Gentle Typhoon *at their noise...
Hi,
What are the most special 8GB modules?
Are there any secret 8GB modules like the 4GB Samsung MV-3V4G3D?
Are there any 8GB modules, even non cheap, that can manage to do...
2400 @ C11
1600 @ C8
Which sticks come the closest?
Would like to know about some tradeoff modules...
Can do 2400...
Brother, you see the vision!
But we must buy the 900D so that Corsair can afford to make the real 1000D.
Important point!
The 1000D is some time away, and if we stick with their cases with our money, maybe they will make the 1000D for us.
