I just got a call from my parents saying that their computer wasn't working.

I can skip this disc check but windows vista will hand on the "loading" screen. I got to the desktop on one try, but it completely froze...
When start my Dell Latitude 15" laptop and the desktop loads, I get a nice, crisp color, then then after about a second, the display will refresh and become really washed out.
Any idea how to keep the color the way it was before the display refreshes?
At the end of the day, your individual purchase doesn't make a lick of difference to AMD's bottom line.
They need huge contracts with Dell, HP, Sony etc., and in particular, a fast, cheap, low temperature, low power requirement dual core CPU for laptops. IMO, that would be a killer combo...
I'm building a PII X4 920 and I have no idea what to look for in a mobo. Looking for a quality mobo, but for under $100 Canadian...so about $80 USD
