Well bad news thus far, finally got the 6800 GS and its a DOA. Artifacted right after its own bios so that left me a little sad. Didnt bother to try with the other cooler on it. I was too frustrated at the time so i just RMA'ed it. Getting full refund so thats good i guess. Ill keep looking for...
Cool thanks, that helps some to at least know that im not the only one who thinks it looks close. As for the card from newegg......bust. DOA. Didnt even place the cooler on it to even try, though i probably should have at least tried, but it artifacted right after its own bios so i RMA'ed it...
oh i forgot to mention that this is on an agp platform so thats what heightens my dilema more. i decided though to bite the bullet and get a 6800gs and give it a try. if nothing else if it doesnt work ill sell the block and get a new cooler that works with the gs. the one i decided on is a open...
im debating on getting the card today. if it works ill use the cooler and if not ill just ebay the cooler or something and just use the card with a different cooler. Also i found another 6800 GS by pny at newegg for a bit less so im going that route. Though i love EVGA to death, im a poor...
Myself i dont use dyes, i use green antifreeze. It seems to be somewhat uv reactive which is nice and plus its corrosion inhibiting so it wont cause any damage to any of your blocks. As for hose damage, none that ive run into. Actually in my buddy's case he had all kinds of corrosion buildup on...
Hey all,
Got a question for ya. I have an EVGA 6800GT apg that ive had for about 2 years or so now. Its served me well and has run nice and cool with its aquacompter 6800 r.2 cooler. However the card has died and im looking for a replacement card. Unfortunately the 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra that...
though im sure its not needed, here is a link to the best pictures of the cooler itself that i could find.

Hey all,
I've had a 6800 gt 256mb from evga for a few years now and sadly its up and died on me. Ive been looking for replacements and found quite a few but what my biggest dilema is, is that i had a aquacomputer 6800 r.2 vga cooler on it and im looking to find a card that i can use with the...
The swiftech res shown just above this post is the best bay res ive come across. Not as pretty as some but mostly durrable. Myself i have one of the typhoon resevoirs and it cracked the first day i got it. About 1/4 of a tube of good silicone sealer later it stopped leaking but myself i would...
Actually upon further review of the card it may actually work. Check the clearances and placement of the ram. The GPU height clearance is ajustable so if you have the same layout the block should work just fine.
i just checked the aquacomputer site and translated it via bablefish and it says it only works for the GT and Ultra variants so unfortunately you are kinda sh*t out of luck on that one. The
only other one aquacomputer makes is one for the 6800LE but im not entirely sure if that has the same...
Sorry about poor quality. Only digi camera I have is my cell phone and its only 1.3 megapixel.
Thats my current setup for now. The bay res in the front is going to the wayside hopfully soon and will be replaced by one of those oh so nice aquacomputer aquatube...
