Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Dark12,
I read your posts and it seems your CPU may not be getting enough volts, or you have overclocked too much.
Another symptom you may experience is a hanging mouse pointer in windows, like it sometimes gets stuck for a moment.
I suggest you downclock to default settings and see if that...
I disabled crossfirex for now and made a new attempt at making profiles.
Everything works just fine now - at first hotkey press the monitors are often randomly arranged but the second hotkey press aligns/sorts them so its all working fine.
There is just one thing left - Im completely unable to...
I change monitor modes a lot and I would really like to be able to switch between different modes faster.
My hardware is
5970 + 5850
Windows 7
3 lcd displays
1 big screen
Basically Im using the following modes:
3 screens (two extended desktops)
4 screens (three extended desktops)...
Im having a problem switching profiles efficiently and it seems like the profile switcher dont work the way it should be working - or that I am doing something wrong.
I have a 5970 with three monitors connected, one of these monitors is also connected to a 5850 together with my big screen.
I...
Thanks, this feels like a brand new computer I should have just gone through with this ages ago :)
I do multibox but dont mistake it for boting, mboxing is allowed as long as you dont use any illegit 3rd party apps - typically hacks or bots.
Heres a video of it in action in case you are...
This worked excellent btw!
With this new card installed and working I can:
- use my big screen without replugging any cables
- have all four displays enabled simultaneously
- run my main toon in WoW at almost the highest graphic settings (nerf shadow detail)
- let the 5850 render four...
I plugged it in and it seems to be working fine but my PSU gotta be near its limit :P
Gonna do some extensive stress testing shortly, I already noticed the increased noise levels but only during heavy load so Im not bothered by it - just concerned that maybe the GPUs might overheat. There is...
Overclocked my CPU, enabled HT and assigned all cores to all instances if WoW and it seems like performance jumped a bit.
Just got my 5850 card, will install it later. Just hope my psu can handle it 750w all :)
What do I do with crossfire bridge? Just plug it to connect both cards with each...
There are some demanding areas for sure, some computers can handle old content fine with 60 fps while the newer zones turn into a slideshow. Its weird really since I think many of the more beautiful zonea are in the old world.
I havent been able to utilize both my GPUs in WoW by any means yet...
Overclocking is an option but I dont think its needed for now. The extra performance gained just cant make up for the loss of performance from an entire GPU.
I doubt alot of people can answer my questions regarding Trifire so I might just take a blank shot and buy a 5850, insert it and see...
I purchased a new beefy computer to play World of Warcraft but made a mistake in picking the video card. I bought Radeon 5970 but are only able to utilize one of the GPU (in wow) and Im severely bottlenecked by this as Innerspace (the app I use to render wow) does not work with Crossfire enabled...
