I change monitor modes a lot and I would really like to be able to switch between different modes faster.

My hardware is
5970 + 5850
Windows 7
3 lcd displays
1 big screen

Basically Im using the following modes:
3 screens (two extended desktops)
4 screens (three extended desktops)
eyefinity w/ and w/o bezel correction
1 screen only (big screen)

And all these modes can be doubled as I sometimes use crossfireX also

The profile manager in CCC doesnt seem to support or offer the functions I need, Im not sure what its actually meant for but I believe it may save settings related to anti aliasing and similar.
It does not seem to be able to configure anything related to crossfireX, or set up eyefinity mode and not even arrange the extended desktop in the same order they were saved.

Meaning I have to do everything manually, almost every time.

Is there a way to properly save, store and reload desktop arrangement and display modes? A third party application?

How about nvidia? Do their drivers support this? Grabbing SLI with geforce cards is an option if they offer a seamless way to change between display modes that doesnt involve such a long process.

nVidia drivers have zero profile support. I've had to resort to using utlramon, but I must say it works so much better than the ATI CCC ever did. My setup is as follows:

1. Sony FW900 ONLY
2. Sony FW900 + Samsung 2233rz @ 120hz + Dell 2209wa
3. Samsung 2233rz 110hz + Dell 2209wa
4. Samsung 2233rz 120hz + Dell 2209wa
5. Samsung 2233rz 110hz + Dell 2209wa Portait
6. Panasonic Projector ONLY

Using a gtx570 + gt210

All running via ctrl+alt+number shortcuts. I'm not sure how crossfirex wil affect things.

I disabled crossfirex for now and made a new attempt at making profiles.

Everything works just fine now - at first hotkey press the monitors are often randomly arranged but the second hotkey press aligns/sorts them so its all working fine.

There is just one thing left - Im completely unable to activate crossfireX, even when running just 1 display!

Realistically I will only need crossfireX for eyefinity resolutions, a 5970 is good enough for 1920x1200 res.

When I try and activate crossfirex in CCC it just waits and does nothing, the [ ] gets checked [X] but when I close CCC and re open the box is unchecked again - it doenst get activated properly.
