    Those came with no updates and you had to buy a new full version every few years at least. There are a couple of good things from this shift. Not many, but they exist.

    I'm glad that I already have a lifetime pass, but even if it doesn't impact me directly, any platform that becomes less appealing to new users isn't going to have a bright future.

    Glad I got the Pass years ago for $90 IIRC. The biggest deal for me is that Plex has a PS5 app, which is my main projector-connected media player and big screen gaming device. The other services may be gaining in features and usability, but...
