Really need a new card for 3 displays..please help!

I already have 1 cheap and 1 semi-cheap video cards. They are not DirectX 11 compatible. My DirectX problems were happening again last night and I was using the PC at the time...the TV was off. I uninstalled all the drivers AGAIN and installed 8.711 from July that I recall came up as digitally...

Really need a new card for 3 displays..please help!

Thanks for the reply. I installed Windows 7 back in July and it wasn't long after that I was having problems. So I can't attribute that to old driver installs. If I had to reinstall everything again I think I'd freak lol I forgot to mention I do have Win7 x86 running on a Core 2 Quad with...

    SPM393 Raid Controller Card...benchmark tests

Most here may not remember, but I was asking about the SPM393 some time ago. I bought one to try despite not finding much info about them but the place I got it from, DAT Optic, were helpful to say the least. They even called me to see how it worked out. I was going to do Raid5 with 5 2TB...

    How long to format 8TB

I'm in no rush anyway and a full format sounds like a good check. Its not Raid5. The card is just combining all the drives as one volume. Before anyone calls me nuts, I do realize there is no redundancy so I will be backing up to externals.

    How long to format 8TB

Sorry, never had my coffee yet when I wrote that. Win7 32bit, this controller: http://www.datoptic.com/5x-drive-hardware-raid-controller.html 5 drives, 1 2TB and 4 1.5TB on a 'Large' volume. It's a GPT partition, formatting in NTFS, 8k cluster size I was going to do a quick format but...

    How long to format 8TB

I am formatting a 8TB volume and I am estimating it's going to take 40 hours. I am at 45% now and started it roughly 18 hours ago. Is this normal? A 2TB volume has only taken 4-5 hours at most to format. Thanks

Asus P5Q Pro SATA port volume limit?

Thanks for that OH. I found those Marvell drivers under the Sata category for downloads for my board. They were listed along with the Intel drivers. I assumed that's what they were for. I guess one should not assume! lol

Asus P5Q Pro SATA port volume limit?

Just an update... I have been messing around with this controller and got it working on the board's Silicon Image controller. There are 2 ports on this controller and I connected it to the orange port. I installed the Marvel drivers but blue screened Win7. I had to do a System Restore from a...

Asus P5Q Pro SATA port volume limit?

I saw it in a post here http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1035927004&postcount=5 If my mobo saw the 8TB volume, I'd be happy as a lark obviously. I was going to say I should have done more research on the abilities of my board but I can't find anything to suggest it wouldn't. I guess its...

Asus P5Q Pro SATA port volume limit?

I was using 2 ports for a Raid1 volume where OS lives. Worse case I may scrap the RAID1 given Win7 does complete system image backups and then I'd have 5 ports available. Funny thing I came across that controller on this forum. I got a couple of things to try to get my PC to see the actual...
